This photo is when they were turning their tassels at the end. It was a great ceremony, and the place was totally packed out.

Marisa outside right after it was over. Here she is with her diploma!! We were so pleased with her; as she got to wear several different awards. One for Honor Society, one for her GPA (the white and purple cords), another for a drama award - which was a medallion, a medallion for Academic Honors, and a medallion a classmate made for all of them.

This is something the kids here do, decorate the top of their cap. We took it to a shop and had it airbrushed; she chose "Hello Kitty", and it turned out so adorable.

Here she is with her beautiful sister, Bethany. Bethany was so proud of her.

Here she is with Ben, what a great guy he is. They are good friends.

Well here we all are. The day went very well.

Here she is with her display table at the party. It was a great party and went so wonderfully. We had it with 6 other kids from our church, and it turned out really well. They all had a display table and we all shared the expense, helped out. Three ladies from church helped us serve, and then another made the great cake for us. It was a blast.

Here they all are with the awesome cake. Marisa thought of the idea, and we asked Toni if she could do it. It took her long hours, but she did an amazing job; it was perfect. We are so thankful for Toni, and she did it as a gift to all of them too!!!

Well here is something else really cool that a very wonderful lady, Alice did. She made them all roses out of $1 bills. Isn't that unique. I do not know for sure how many bills are in it, but I think around 5. Well I must end my post for now. I am exhausted, and for memorial day, a family at church who live on a farm is having a Church picnic at their house. I'm sure it will be great fun, unless it rains, which now they are calling for. I hope it stays away for tomorrow.

The celebration party was excellent! Marisa's accomplishments are to be congratulated. Thank you for inviting us to be among your guests. Now Marisa begins the next chapter in her life! Congrats also for you, her parents, who have guided her in her steps as she grew and matured into such a lovely young woman.
Awwww... these are among the most special occasions we celebrate in our lives! You have captured it well in photos! The party at church sure looked like fun and I can see the love for these kids that went into making it special for them. One chapter closes, another opens - this is life! Live it well!
